Re: Fire Todd Bowles
I caught up on Twitter and didn't see anything about Bowles getting run over by a bus on his way home. Fingers crossed it happens today.

You both know the Glazers will most likely chalk this season up to Godwin and Evans being lost and we could lose out and we will still have Bowles next year

The buccaneer subreddit is ready to make Cohen the head coach.
They've clearly never heard of Dirk Koetter.

Dirk Koetter never made adjustments and literally never had an offense that ran remotely as effectively as Coen's has been and it hasn't even been a full season.
In short, Koetter was and always will be a bum.

I don't think that suddenly makes a guy who was Kentucky's offensive coordinator two years ago head coach material. The Outsider wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 7:25 amDirk Koetter never made adjustments and literally never had an offense that ran remotely as effectively as Coen's has been and it hasn't even been a full season.

Re: Fire Todd Bowles
It doesn't necessarily, but I'd rather give him a shot than Bowles or bring in a HC and lose Coen. Our offense operated effectively without it's two primary play makers. Dude had to re-scheme his offense on a short week and it was still good. He's a good coach. Whether that translates to being a good HC is obviously an unsure thing. However, name me one coach out there that you're dying to bring in as a HC who has a realistic chance of being landed?emby wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 9:55 amI don't think that suddenly makes a guy who was Kentucky's offensive coordinator two years ago head coach material. The Outsider wrote: ↑Mon Oct 28, 2024 7:25 amDirk Koetter never made adjustments and literally never had an offense that ran remotely as effectively as Coen's has been and it hasn't even been a full season.

Me? I give Coen a shot at interim coach for the rest of the season and if he doesn't totally shit the bed he wins the job and then we go all in to get Salah in here as DC. We'd presumably be really, really fucking good at that point.

Re: Fire Todd Bowles
I'm not ready to blow this up.
When Brady left, we were in cap hell and the prevailing wisdom was to complete the tank, jettison the coaching staff and do a rebuild. My point was that if we're going to have a HC who had to eat the post Brady fallout with no cap space, why not Bowles?
I'd let him work this year and next, and if he doesn't win the division in at least one of them, be ready to move on from not just Bowles, but Baker as well because whomever the next coach is, they'll want their own guy
