Potential Site Outage This Week

So I have been hosting this site via AWS and while it has worked pretty damn well it's cost is running anywhere from 90-120 bucks a month. I don't want to ask anyone for any money so I'm now exploring moving back to a self hosted method. I'm going to be bringing one of my mini pcs into work this week to see if my boss (who has assloads of experience migrating sites) can give me a hand.

Ideally the downtime should be so quick no one notices and I'm going to get it done before the games start as well. Just wanted to give a heads up.

Oh, and does anyone have a way to contact 2.0? IIRC he's the one who did all of the gfx design on the original BucZone so on the offchance he has the theme lying around somewhere that could be a good option to get things more aesthetically in line with what I think we all want.

Due to me being overzealous and wanting to play with cool things I had an amazon relational database that was linked to the site, but really isn't necessary. I just deleted that and pruned roughly 50% of the cost of hosting. Will keep you guys updated.

I mean, without RDS running I cut $55 out of a total of $100ish bucks a month. I have many hobbies I spend more than $45 a month on, so I see this as a worthwhile expenditure.
