150 mph sustained winds, 950 mb pressure. Guys, this is completely unprecedented for this time of year. It transitioned (hee hee) from a Depression to a high-end 4 (basically a low-end 5) in roughly 48 hours.

And to hit those speeds at 950 is indicative of an ocean with so much heat energy stored that the hurricane doesn't have to work as hard to extract it.
