Any of you guys like to fish? I went fishing for the first time in damn near 10 years yesterday. Beautiful day. Didn't catch a damned thing.

I like to fish. I have like 3k in gear that I haven't used in around 5 years lol. Last time I was out I caught some nice trout.

I swear that if I really leaned into it. I mean really get a hard-on for going fishing, I'll get out two or three more times this year.

Saw somethin while scrolling facebook about using satillite images normally used for weather to scout the sand bars.

Anybody ever heard of that? I don't have enough fishing pole to get beyond the second sandbar, but I had a bitch of a time on Okaloosa island geting past the first one because it ran right up to the shore. I could only wade out about halfway and that sucked.

I don't know much about wading fishing. The vast majority of the fishing I've done has either been from the rocks in a channel or from a boat both offshore and inshore and there are a few good mobile apps that I used to find fishing spots.

My first time fishing on the beach. I'd always fished the mangroves or the Sanibel causeway

Have clearance to go chase pompano this weekend.

Henderson Beach State Park has a couple of near shore reefs so I'm thinking I'm gonna try there.

Damn you're lucky. I'm still extricating this bitch from my house, she has two dogs I'm trying to not make homeless so I'm giving her a little time to figure shit out, so I still pretty much feel obligated to be around so she doesn't do anything crazy.

Yeah. The benefits of having a 3 bedroom with no dependents. We actually get along relatively well, she's just got Bipolar that is only marginally treated and as such is a pathological liar and serial cheater who gaslit the fuck out of me for 4 years. So while it's not difficult being cordial it's kind of a weird situation where I don't know when she's gonna get manic and potentially do something really crazy, and I like my stuff, so I don't leave unless it's for work. I also coincidentally have 6 cameras set up in and around my house.
