Bottom post of the previous page:

AWJ deserves that contract. Everyone is but he's a safety. He's only making what, half a mill more per year than Derwin James

That's the other thing I like about Licht. He pays performance and respects his players.

No low-balling, no holdouts, no hit jobs in the press. If Jason Licht is going to cut you, you know why and you saw it coming. If he's going to re-sign you, he's probably going to be your best offer.

I think he's a fantastic GM.

Best GM we've had that I can remember. Rich McKay is second but he was very, very short sighted.

First time I remember seeing this shot.

So Wirfs is 'holding out' during OTAs I think it's a relative non-story considering he's been active and around the team otherwise along with the fact that with Baker, Evans, and Mayfield there were no indications a contract was imminent until they signed.

Yep. Would have preferred to wait until next off-season, but okay.

Yeah he's like the second most important player on this team. We all saw how bad we looked when he got injured and couldn't play vs the Rams.

I'm not concerned at all about the contracts Licht has been signing. Guys who produce get paid, guys who don't get paid elsewhere and the team ends up with a very natural attrition and a perpetually competitive team.

Looks really good from the parking lot.
