Mother nature said fishing was out of the question yesterday. Just waiting for my wife's sourdough loaf to finish and we're rolling.

Mother nature also decided to make a jackass of me as it rained for a solid 2 hours between about 4 and 6 yesterday afternoon. The ducks were in heaven and it literally saved my sole remaining blueberry bush.

Don't let the birds find your blueberries. I knew a lady who wrapped her blueberry trees in cheesecloth.

The birds haven't seemed to fuck with my blueberries. My grapes on the other hand...

Green thumb guy, eh?

I live with two people like you. Introverted but willing to discuss plants.

I grow everything. Blueberries, all types of citrus, guava, banana, grapes, raspberries, and blackberries, passionfruit, dragonfruit, olives, figs, tomatoes, potatoes, I've even done broccoli, cauliflower, various greens and radishes. I also grew a bumper crop of sweet potatoes like 3 years ago. The secret is good soil, fertilizer, and water. Give as much as you think you need to and the plants will tell you if it's too much. That's better than starting off skimping. Plants can take some extra water and nutrients better than they can not getting enough. There are exceptions to this. Olives should be planted in sand and literally never fertilized. I almost killed both of my trees fertilizing them once. They also thrive with no water with the exception of extreme drought. I like plants.

Holy smokes he's got it bad.

My wife is also the vegetable farmer. She made me add a backyard chicken coop two years ago. My oldest has been collecting indoor plants for the past 4-5 years.

She kept a pothos plant that was a gift from Papaw's funeral in 2014 that's got it's own corner of the den.

Given the chance to farm again, I'd plant an orchard of fruit trees with a hive of bees in the middle of it. I'm too fat to bend over for plants.

Basically, I get the love but it is too much work for me. I'd rather casually chuck a 2oz spoon 70 yards over and over again for four hours in balls deep water.
