Re: 2024 Season
With Shaq being back do we see our pass rush get a boost? Last season he was a year removed from his achilles tear and his daughter passed away the offseason prior as well if I recall correctly. I kind of had the feeling that he wasn't mentally there. He definitely wasn't in shape, you could see he looked heavier than he ever had before.
Well now, being a couple of years removed from both the injury and the tragedy in his family could his focus be back and could he be poised to explode this post season? Shaq was never a guy who relied on sheer athleticism, he was always a guy who won on his repertoire of pass rush moves and pure effort. I think the biggest reason his play declined is that due to the issues in his personal life he just couldn't bring that effort on a consistent basis. He never looked like he was totally washed.
Am I smoking some serious copium right now?

I doubt he'll produce much.

Re: 2024 Season
JTS just blocked a punt.
I totally get that Joe is not Khalil Mack, but Shaq has been on the couch for a year. Retired and chilling like the multimillionaire he is.
I don't think he's in shape and I think if he does produce, it'll be because it's week 18 against the saints who are begging to get the season over with.
Next year you might get a few sacks out of him, but this stinks of Tim Brown, Dallas Clark, Richard Sherman, Julio Jones type situation.

I'll say this much, he doesn't look fat like he did a year or so ago. I definitely think he'll be more productive than those guys were.emby wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 8:38 amJTS just blocked a punt.
