^^mtnbucman^^
Three months later and I confess. It wasn't me.
Anyway...
https://www.nfl.com/news/state-of-the-2 ... layoff-run
29th against the pass last season ain't cutting it.
Davis out, Neal out, Whitehead in, Tevierre Thomas in, Bryce Hall in, drafted Tykee Smith
Did the secondary get better or worse?

Definitely got better. Whitehead is a huge upgrade from Neal. He's not amazing in coverage but he's competent and he can actually tackle. We know the kid, he's solid. Tavierre Thomas was something like the highest ranked NCB in the NFL last season, so while he's something of an unknown he at least has shown he can play in the NFL. Bryce Hall was a good player for the Jets they just happened to get really fucking lucky on Sauce being a stud and their other CB being an upgrade from Hall. Tykee Smith being a rookie could obviously go either way but I've seen him be compared to AWJ which is never a bad thing.

Today's tasty clickbait comes to us from CBS with it's "NFL coaches on shaky ground entering 2024 season: Ranking eight hot-seat candidates to watch"
#7 is our very own Todd Bowles
7. Todd Bowles (Buccaneers)
Year: 3rd | Record: 17-17 | Playoffs: 1-2
Bowles can coach a defense as well as anyone, and his group of 2023 underdogs -- featuring the scrappy Baker Mayfield under center -- nearly advanced to the NFC title game. But his clubs have also gone .500 over two seasons in arguably the weakest division in football, and his situational decision-making has drawn critique. With offensive coordinator Dave Canales gone, it's fair to wonder if he can elevate a "run-it-back" roster.

Defense went from yo-ho to yikes really quick with the injuries. Talking about going out and getting another corner.
Coach looking and sounding concerned today.
