Checking out the tailgate scene at Ray Jay on YouTube.

Anyone have any suggestions? 25 years my wife and I have been fans and never been to a game. I guess there's just a giant block party around the stadium?

That's pretty much my experience. I'm lucky that I've got a friend in the area. The last couple games I've gone to, I've reached out to him. He comes out just to tailgate. Brings his grill and food. I've grabbed the booze to try and even it up. But we've always found friendly people tailgating.

Get there as early as possible. It's a cluster fuck around the stadium. Bring your drink. Unless you're doing one of the paid options, you're not going to find alcohol. There is food to be bought outside.

It's your first time there so I know you're going to want to explore the stadium, but outside of the giant team store and the ship, there's not a lot to see.

Nothing could prepare me for how fucking hot it was last time. The game actually set records for in stadium ems calls. Make sure you drink water. Quart of Gatorade before you leave the hotel. Have one waiting for when you get back. Last game I went to was great, exciting, but I wanted to die most of the time because of how disgusting it was.

The plan is heavy on hydration the day before, but I'm totally doing the Gatorade now that you mention it. This plant is going to need electrolytes.

What kind of numbers am I looking at for the paid options?

The heat won't be bad. One, he actually lives here and not up in pansyland where half the year you have to wear a sweater so your nipples don't get hard. Two, and most importantly, we're probably about to get double-whammied with a hurricane and a cold front right before the game so the weather should be nice and pleasant.

The only time I've been to a game and had a problem with the heat was the couple of times I went to home openers. It's pretty tolerable from November onwards.

I was going to wear white, but the game is a Red out because we're in red and pewter at home for the rest of the season at that point.

I'll sweat it when I get there.

If you guys are getting a cold front, you might want to bring a sweatshirt since I've seen how you people get when it's below 70.

Below 70?

We'll be fighting off hypothermia at that altitude. This changes everything!

Shit I'll be in Albany the week after Thanksgiving so I'm prepared for my impending death.
