Calling the dude Hitler for 8 years is not that endearing. Nor is shitting constantly on the 74 million that voted for him. Plus, it wasn't just your braindead politicians, majority of corporate media, Big Tech, the universities etc...
Dude admitted he keeps Mein Kampf on his bedside table and it's one of the only books he read. Those 74 million have been shitting on me my whole life. Your last sentence doesn't even make sense. Corporate media is almost exclusively conservative, as is 'Big Tech' whatever that means (and I say that as someone who works in technology).
Universities? I'm sorry that as we advance scientifically that we are finding that reality has a liberal bias. My braindead politicians? I'm sorry, I didn't realize I voted for a party that has the Freedom Caucus, is so internally dysfunctional that it took them roughly 20 years to agree on a house speaker, a party who has candidates and in-office politicians who openly call for violence, mass deportation, the extermination of LGBTQ people, etc.
If you run on a platform of hate and exclusion the people you hate and want to exclude aren't going to want to play nice with you. This is like arguing that the 1850s Republicans were the bad guys and being divisive because they wanted to protect the rights of the Northern states to have their slave haven laws while the Southern states were the poor, bullied, sad babies who were totally not divisive for wanting to push their policies on other states and then starting a war when it didn't go their way.
Damn, sounds like dumb, ignorant, racist, bigoted, morons have been using the same playbook for roughly 200 years.

But a lot of this doesn't make sense.
Agreed. The shooter, his location, the injury, the shots, alleged pics of dead shooter, how long it took to officially release identity.... Spidey Senses are going off.
Secret service propping him up, giving everyone a clearer view of his head for photo ops instead of covering him.
Compare this to 2016 and how they reacted with Trump at the mere report that a gun could be present. Or the reaction of the secret service when Reagan was shot.

A week ago it's all about national divorce and rooting out vermin and now we're just supposed to cool it and buy a unity message from these psychos.
You do realize that Joey used the same Schick right? Please don't tell that you believe your side isn't just as divisive.
The poisoning of the blood schtick or the let's drop everything and play nice schtick?

I am talking about the major "news" networks. Obviously Fox is a behemoth for the right. But CNN, NBC / MSNBC / ABC definitely lean left as do the majority of the national newspapers. Which corporate media are you talking about?
When I think of 'Big Tech' my mind immediately goes to google (pretty much a monopoly) / youtube, Microsoft and Apple. I am not too familiar with apple's politics but the others definitely are pro left. Shit, isn't Silicone Valley in San Francisco? Not really a bastion of conservative values (whatever they are).
Too me the Freedom Caucus and the Squad are different sides of the same coin aka far from center. And it is not like the Squad is killing it with legislation. Although did pretty much sneak the GND in the Inflation Reduction Act so they deserve some credit for that.
While I wouldn't label it a "platform of hate", the recent "It's not enough to not be racist, you must be anti-racist / whatever-a-phobe" or You need to be an ally.... type rhetoric is just as judgey. Same with the pronoun police. I shit you not, I have no idea what all those letters meant after LGBT. I mean, come on. Enough.

I dug the Revenge of the Sith clip. Apropos for your message and I am a Star Wars dork.
I don't think anyone is asking for a circle jerk and for everyone to just get along. As far as I (personally) am concerned, I want to see the temperature ratcheted up until the fucking furnace explodes. But can see how some normies would prefer for the discourse to be a little less caustic.

For sure. But Biden took the bait anyway.
I just keep remembering the first thing trump said when he got back to his feet and stuck his fist in the air.

I don't think you need to be an ally or whatever, but you really want to equate that shit with people who outright say their existence is an affront against some sort of Sky Daddy and that they shouldn't be able to exist in the way that they feel is true to themselves?
Google, Microsoft, and Apple are all giant corporations. The people who matter inside of those corporations are more often than not conservative. Any sort of 'woke' shit they do is a business decision (because guess what, tolerance and shit is more popular than being a chud) but they wouldn't do anything if they didn't think it would make them money.
CNN is owned by a Trump donator. ABC is owned by Disney, more liberal than most but definitely not a bastion of liberal ideas. The Freedom Caucus wants to outlaw certain types of human beings, the Squad more or less attempts to push progressive policies that would be beneficial to marginalized groups (and occasionally says really fucking stupid shit, looking at you Tlaib) but AOC in particular is in a completely different stratosphere of being a politician and policymaker than a single individual in the Freedom Caucus. The quad also has demonstrably less pedophile sex traffickers.

We can go back and forth all day which party is "worse". I feel there is plenty of blame to go around with the current environment.
You and Outtie can be as pissed / as violent as you like. I won't judge.
I am just adding a different perspective in our new fancy civilized conversation forum.

No, I don't think being mildly annoyed at "woke" initiatives in the same ballpark as their (wrong pronoun, I'm sure) existence being offensive and they (did it again) should be snuffed out. Then again, I do not see that type of comment that often but also tune out as soon as an article goes down that road. And trust me, the Religious Right is just as annoying with their unbelievable hypocrisy.
CNN owned by Trump donator or not, they do lean left but not nearly as much as they were during Trump / Covid Years.
100% agree with the business decision comment regarding woke initiatives. Same thing the banks / financial institutions did during occupy Wall Street. I have long been a proponent that private businesses can do, cater to whatever / whomever they like. I still don't get the whole Boycott Bud Light / Target thing recently. Very easy to just not shop at a store or purchase a product without making a big production out of it.

better or worse is subjective, of course. So long as we agree they're distinguishable from each other.

I'm one of 'those people' so I take it very seriously when anyone with more power than me says they don't believe I have a right to exist.
