When the Supreme Court was expanded to nine justices in 1869 there was set one justice per federal court district.

There are currently 13 districts.

You do realize (if you're lucky), you'll get older(er) as well, right? Why are the Millennials & Zoomers bent about Boomers getting some of their money back that way stolen from them their entire lives? I would have gladly opted out of SS at 25-27ish and gotten a much greater return, myself.

Or I totally misread your post and 100% agree we need much younger ppl in office.

Sometimes when I'm feeling a little blue, I get inspired by this.... it's a real pjck-me-up!

Yeah, I was just advocating for younger people in government.

If you had opted out of social security and invested it yourself, you would have lost everything in 2000, 2001, 2008 and again in 2020.

And whatever you had left would get taken by the hospital. The 401k system was supposed to replace social security. The idea is laughable today. Working people need money for when they can't work anymore, not tax shelters.

Tell me I'm wrong.
