Just cruising the franchise stats and none other than Chris Godwin is tied for second in receiving touchdowns with Jimmy Giles at 34. Ain't nobody catching Mike Evans at 94 tuddies and counting. Of course, Godwin is also second in yards.
Godwin should be a lock for the ring of honor if he isn't already and it's past time to talk about this being one of the best wr tandems of all time.
They've been producing at a high level together for seven years. That's a big deal.
My main goal in Madden these days is to get Evans to pass Rice for most career TDs at 198 (197 for Rice). You've gotta put up around 25 TDs a year for 4 straight seasons but it's doable. Hell, my first season in this franchise I threw 36 TDs and over 2500 yards to him while also getting Godwin over 1k. Baker had some asinine stats like 6300 yards, 65 TDs and less than 5 INTs.
Christ almighty, run the fuckin ball once in a while.
I usually get White or whoever my RB1is around 1500 yards and 15ish TDs per season. The secret is averaging like 10 ypc and 15 yards per attempt passing.
Oh, and my defense with our front is beastly. I play it really well. So I may give up some points here or there but I'm sacking the QB 5 times a game and just otherwise causing havoc. It's what happens when you've played a series of games literally your entire life.

You ever play competitively? Better odds than poker.

I used to when I was younger but competitive video games do not bring out the best side of me.

Hey, we're just teeing up your hero story arc here.
All we need is for Will Smith to walk out of the dark and use his magic negro superpowers to get you to the Super Bowl tournament.

Rich Eisen just reminded me that the Super Bowl is in New Orleans this year.
I think that would be a splendid place to win a third Super Bowl, don't you?

They've been producing at a high level together for seven years. That's a big deal.
So here's a three season comparison of Randy Moss and Cris Carter from 1998-2000 compared with the previous three seasons for Evans and Godwin
Player g rec yds td
Moss 48 226 4163 43
Carter 48 264 3526 34
Total 96 490 7689 77
Evans 48 230 3414 33
Godwin 46 285 3150 10
Total 94 515 6564 43
1125 yards and 34 extra tuddies for Moss and Carter. That's a career year for a whole other guy. Moss has the same TDs as Evans and Godwin combined in this span. Dude was incredible.
That was a bitch to format. If we can get the spreadsheet insert turned into something better we can look at stats more gooder
