Re: Orange Time
The only thing that will stop this is killing Nazis in the street, but we're too soft of a country to do the right thing.

Re: Orange Time
The Gaza statement / idea is flat out retarded. If we are going to cut USAID (which 56% of Americans approve per Reuters); Ukraine & Isreal DoD funding need to be pulled as well.
Definitely will never learn our lesson of the cost of being Team America : World Police.

56% of Americans can't read, so fuck them. I agree, the Gaza idea is stupid as fuck and we fund Israel way too much. However, cutting USAID, even ignoring Ukraine and how important supporting them is, will eliminate a shit load of positive and effective humanitarian programs around the world.PetePierson wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 3:30 pm The Gaza statement / idea is flat out retarded. The answer to the American expenditure problem has been and always will be a combination of two things: taxes on corporations and the ultra-wealthy being too low; and military expenditure, primarily the untold billions that are spent on off-the-books black projects.
Stop buying the narrative, Pete, you're too smart for that.

Looking around at Gaza, Africa, South America, areas of Southeast Asia, and many other parts of the world; the levels of extreme poverty are difficult to view let alone imagine what those people are going through. The Outsider wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 3:57 pm56% of Americans can't read, so fuck them. Re: Orange Time
That's all chump change in the scope of the US Treasury. Add all that up and it doesn't even cover an infrastructure grant for high speed rail in Florida.
You know how much we lose out on taxes from corps and the ultra-wealthy?
In 2024, billionaire wealth increased by $1.4 trillion OR $3.9 billion per day. There were 74 new billionaires.
According to a 2021 White House study, the wealthiest 400 billionaire families in the U.S. paid an average federal individual tax rate of just 8.2 percent. For comparison, the average American taxpayer in the same year paid 13 percent.
According to leaked tax returns highlighted in a ProPublica investigation, the 25 richest Americans paid $13.6 billion in taxes from 2014-2018—a “true” tax rate of just 3.4 percent on $401 billion of income.
According to the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, 23 of the largest and most profitable companies in the US paid no federal corporate income taxes from 2018-2022. And 109 corporations paid zero federal tax in at least one of those years.
The US government is estimated to have lost around $135 billion in revenue due to corporate tax avoidance in 2017. In contrast, corporate philanthropy has amounted to less than $20 billion a year.
Corporations shifted nearly $1 trillion in global profits to tax havens in 2022—depriving countries all over the world of desperately needed tax revenue.
Stop letting the billionaire owned media feed you talking points.
Also, arguing against pro-LGBT programs in countries that have horrendous conditions for us is probably not a good one to use with me.

Re: Orange Time
The amounts really aren't the point IMO. How long has the US been sending foreign aid around the world? How many gazillions in the last decade alone? Are we seeing real benefits from this investment?
I'm a large proponent of getting your own house in order before looking to help others.
And you'll get no argument from me that the tax codes are completely fucked up & backwards. But say we tax the shit out of every single corporation, how does that go for the rest of us? Those costs will just be passed down, jobs lost and the little guy fucked yet again.

And to your the point the electorate is retarded, no argument. I believe both of you are vehemently against Voter ID, so I'm guessing you would also not approve of a very basic civics quiz to register to vote?

Arms sales to the tune of billions with free field tests on human targets.
AIPAC money takes out anti-israel members of Congress.
White guilt exploitation because antisemitism is real.
Zionist American Jews as a voting block.
And in the case of trump, about a half billion in cash.
