This is all assuming Thune allows the recess. And looking at his background and his actions and words during and since the first Trump presidency I think there's a pretty good chance he doesn't and throws a wrench into Trumps plans to be able to make a bunch of recess appointments.

I typically don't want a DNI that spouts Russian propaganda, especially during a time in which Russia is showing some pretty serious aggression while also attacking us through less kinetic means.

So no, I really, really don't like the Tulsi pick. And none of my friends in the military nor my uncle who was in the FBI are particularly pleased about it either.

Well, I've got no love for the 3-letter agencies so the FBI being displeased only makes me approve of the selection.
