Eight guys in three drafts for a three year stretch. Only half of whom are starters. Obviously, after year three, Licht is ready to start making decisions about people.
While the survival rate is low....The guys on this list who have gotten paid by the front office have gotten paid well.
Over at It's a dumb fuck's life they're too busy trying to build fantasy teams. They want five year starters out of every pick and without laying it all out on a spreadsheet I'll contend that the vast majority of these drafted players had significant enough playing time for both the player to have an opportunity, and for the organization to make a decision. I have no issues with who has or has not been re-signed from this group.
The real question here is the front office hitting on enough of these picks and getting the production.
Look at Keyshawn Vaughn. Third round pick to be a backup or change of pace RB. Got blasted his rookie season and was never the same player.
43 games, 103 attempts, 384 yards, 2 tuddies with another receiving tuddy and 81 yards.
Ten yards per game ain't cutting it and that's why he's gone. There's no reason why that production can't be replaced.
So instead of expecting that Vaughn become the franchise RB since we burned a third on him, what would have been they type of production you want from a 3rd round backup RB?
It's not enough to call Vaughn a bust just because he didn't finish his deal. He was a bust because he couldn't produce behind Fournette, Jones, and ultimately...Rashaad White who was drafted in the third round.
He just needs more time.

Boy, that OP doesn't get better with age. The '21 class is pretty ick since I'm literally scouting replacing everyone taken in days one and two as well as KJ Britt.

In all fairness that was also our SB draft so it's pretty much all 32nd picks, which may as well not be in the round they're in.

It literally reads like a list of team needs.
