Keep in mind this situation is still way better than what we expected going into last year.

If this is the team "bottoming out" post Brady, it's about as ideal as you could hope for. I don't think we'll have a losing season.

And I wouldn't fire Bowles over it. He had better fix it quickly, but I'm not coveting other coaches right now.

I'm firing Bowles because his defense doesn't work unless the personnel are 100% perfectly suited for it and when he saw that we didn't have the players to run his defense did he adjust? No, no he did not. That's a sign of a bad HC. And I don't want to lose Coen who is vastly more valuable to a HC position elsewhere.

Bowles isn't good at the HC parts of the job either and some team is going to poach Coen. It's also much easier to fire someone than it is to get them to give up control over playcalling. I honestly think we could fire Bowles and replace him with almost any HC in the league and we'd be in the exact same situation. We're where we are purely on player talent and offensive scheming and playcalling. Bowles may as well not even be here.

That's because Skule might be the worst backup OT in the league.

To echo some thoughts.

Bowles isn't a bad DC...especially if that's his only job. We don't really have the talent right now. What Bowles really sucks at his being a HC...specifically the game management part.

Coen is a fucking stud. Keeping him has to be the #1 priority.
