Bernie Kosar would like to have words with you
Yes, I was exaggerating for effect.
Baker most likely would have been their best QB. I just remember that Bernie Kosar was rumored to be a dick to fans so I was mostly meaning that
Ah, I wasn't aware of his Sapp-ishness

Had to put my sixteen year old dog down this morning.

That hurt.

A little late but that really sucks man. I've been there, it's never fun. You have my sympathy.

Thanks, man. $360 to euthanize, $300 for private cremation, $30 shipping, complimentary urn.

That's a lot, but Gretel was that once in a lifetime dog I'd spend the money on.

But I couldn't help but think about how a lot of people can't afford to just euthanize a suffering pet.

Luckily the Humane Society and SPCA have programs (at least in bigger cities) that provide the service much cheaper, but even then it's probably out of the reach of many people.

I would not be surprised to learn that more dogs die by gunshot than by euthanasia.

I remember a stat that 60 dogs were shot by police nationwide every day.

Their penchant for shooting dogs has a lot to do with my latent hostility towards police officers.

Cruelty in general pisses me off.

Same. Though I tend to have much greater reactions when the victims of cruelty are beings that lack agency like animals or children. I have a lot less emotional capacity for adult human beings.
