Facts! I got my first gaming console at 12 working in my dad's textile factory. Reason why @emby I don't like debt forgiveness for student loans  :D
How long did you have to work for that console?

If that's true it's legitimately depressing and I feel bad for you and your shit childhood.

I was hoping by the emojis that you know I was screwing around. Nope, first job was as a dishwasher at 15 on the weekends

Man with some of the wild shit I read on the internet these days I never know for sure. I was like 90% sure you were joking but the seed of doubt was there.

I started out in a dish pit at 16. Nothing about my time there makes me want to saddle people with debt they shouldn't have in the first place.

The last part was me conceding I was being a douche on the matter, can we move past that?

You do. I am old but not angry. I believe people should live their life however makes them happy (barring hurting someone else unwillingly). I have experienced a lot of spectrums of life. I have lived an alternative life as well as traditional. I have people to worry about, but I know they will survive. I will make sure they do. I bitch sometimes just to bitch. Doesn't mean I mean it with all my heart. I promise you that I see both sides of it.

Take education forgiveness that you seem to think I don't want for people. I think that money can best be spent elsewhere than to forgive debt that people agreed with. I feel that if the government is giving away money, how about free healthcare for anyone living in poverty and the elderly? How about interest free loans for lower and middle classes to buy homes? This is the last time I am bringing up student loan forgiveness, but since you seen to be at a loss, I felt I would open up more about who I am. I am certain if we were to ever have a cold one together that we would see a lot eye to eye, just different priorities

One argument about forgiving debt is it frees up those funds for people to inject back in to the economy in terms of spending whereas loan payments don't have the same economic impact.

Most of us (with the exception of a lot of the folks on the other board though there are many over there who I would say I was friendly with, my beef is mainly with the core group of clowns in that circus) would get along with one another. People typically aren't altogether different on the most basic levels. I come hard on the forums about my opinions because I'm passionate and I worked construction and in a kitchen for almost 20 years so typing a paragraph without saying fuck is physically painful to me.

The only time I draw a hard line in the sand politically is when I identify things that I believe could be a threat to our republic which means I think it's a threat to you just as much as it is to me. I believe patriotism isn't flying a flag, or serving in the military fighting a war overseas against brown people for the MIC and Petrochemical cartel, true patriotism is the willingness of the common man to say, "Enough is enough, this is my country and I won't let you destroy it." and lay their life on the line to protect that country.

I never served, but you can be damn well sure I'll protect the constitution and the American people from enemies both foreign and domestic to the extent of my abilities as a fat, partially disabled 37 year old man with too many firearms.
