You'll hear no disagreement on that from me. However, I will say that our perpetual election cycle plays into that. Our politicians have to start campaigning the minute they take office. We should take a page out of other countries' books and have much, much shorter election cycles so our representatives can actually represent.

Agreed. 6-week cycle sounds about right to me. But not sure I can blame it all on the Ststists (which makes me #SadInPants). 24/7 "news" cycle, pundits, etc... have made this a very profitable business.

Also, can we all just write in Terry Crews for President? Make his VP Wayne Brady or some shit. That would unironically probably be one of the best Presidential/VP duos ever. They both seem like great guys (in Terry's case it's empirically provable.)
